Naturlly Curly Hair Routine

How to style curly hair

It's been far too long since I did a hair routine video, and a lot has changed since my last one. Although I still love the products I was last using, I have been branching out and testing various lines of natural hair products. DevaCurl has always been one of my favorite brands, and I've found the best curly hair products to work well with my 3B curls.

I'll be doing another video soon with my second-day hair routine showing how I refresh my curls, and also my favorite hair treatments and masks.

VIDEO: How to Cover Rosacea, Redness, or Acne & Colorescience All Calm Giveaway

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Rosacea and redness can be one of the most challenging trouble to tackle with makeup. Redness always tends to peak through foundation, and caking on product can leave skin looking dry and worse. Today I'm sharing my foundation routine I wear when I want to have a flawless, even skin tone that lasts.

I'm using some of my favorite Colorescience products, specifically the All Calm, which is a redness-reducing primer that neutralizes your skin tone creating an even base. I also am sharing other color correcting products, and some to help prevent redness from occurring.

I also share how to apply contour/bronzer, blush, and highlighter with rosacea/redness.

VIDEO: Colorscience All Calm, Tint du Soleil, & Mineral Corrector Palette Review & Tutorial

An uneven skin tone is something I have always struggled with, and although I may not have bad acne, I always feel like I need to wear full-coverage foundation to even out my skin color. Redness and rosacea get worse with sun exposer, so it's extremely important for products to protect from the sun. Redness-prone skin can also be extremely sensitive, so it's crucial that products are calming and don't irritate skin further.

Colorescience is a brand I had never tried before, and I was intrigued by the multi-purpose products that claim to color correct while protecting and calming your skin. For today's video, I am reviewing the following products and showing how to apply them.
  • Colorescience All Calm Clinical Redness Corrector SPF 50: A green tinted primer that instantly neutralizes skin tone without leaving a green appearance. Patent pending BioSolace complex helps provide ongoing relief from sensitivity and the appearance of redness, while protecting from the sun with powerful SPF 50.
  • Tint du Soleil Whipped Mineral Foundation: A creamy, hydrating light coverage foundation that subtly evens out the skin tone will remaining natural looking. Contains SPF 30.
  • Mineral Corrector Palette SPF 20: A color-correcting palette with 5 creamy powders to conceal while correcting various imperfections, such as dark spots, dark circles, and more.
  • Brush-On Sunscreen SPF 50: A non-chemical powder sunscreen that can be worn over makeup or on it's own, with the perfect on-the-go packaging for reapplying.

VIDEO: Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Unboxing

Sunday, October 01, 2017

Essential oils are all the rage right now, and there are countless oil companies out there. I've been wanting to try out using essential oils as a home fragrance, and also on my hair. Particular oils are supposed to great for hair growth when done with a scalp massage, and they can also be used for various facials, baths, and more.

With so many options it can be overwhelming, so I was drawn to Simply Earth because they have a subscription service where they curate the perfect combination of oils and send everything you need with various recipe cards. Each box is themed for the month, and the September box contained recipes for fall. It even included containers to mix the oils, bath salts, and a jojoba carrier oil.

One of the biggest things I loved about Simply Earth was the oils are guaranteed to be 100% pure, authentic, and do not contain additives or fillers. They also donate 13% of profits to help stop human trafficking.

There are two options for subscriptions, one monthly for $39/month and one quarterly for $45/every 3 months.

Sign up here and use code GLAMMEUPFREE to get a free diffuser*!
*The coupon code is for a $40 gift card after you subscribe to the box (subscription on the box can be cancelled anytime) or get $10 off from purchases of any oils from the website. The $40 gift card can be used to purchase any item from the website including the $29.99 diffuser. The gift card will be sent through email.
