7 Easy Hairstyles for Curly Hair – Weekly Change Ups with Garnier

Thursday, November 19, 2015

If you’re not following me on Instagram, then you may have missed 7 easy to do hairstyles for curly hair. I collaborated with Garnier to create “Weekly Change Ups”, which are quick and simple hairstyles that are fun ways to switch up your look. All of my styles are designed to work with naturally curly hair, however any hair type can wear them. Here’s a recap of the 7 posts:

Flower Bun
Step 1: Apply the Garnier Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk to second-day hair while detangling with water. Next apply the Curl Shaping Spray Gel to palms and scrunch through your hair, focusing on the ends.
Step 2: Grab two sections of hair around your face and secure in the back with an elastic.
Step 3: Braid the section of hair to the end and secure with another elastic.
Step 4: Wrap the braid around in a bun and secure the ends under with a bobby pin.

Curly Twists
Step 1: Apply the Garnier Curl Shaping Spray Gel to second-day hair, and scrunch with water.
Step 2: Separate the top section of your hair and secure with a small elastic. Split the section in two creating a small opening above the elastic, and flip the pony around through it.
Step 3: Separate the middle section of hair and secure with an elastic over-top the first pony. Repeat the process by splitting the second pony and flipping it through.
Step 4: Repeat step 3 on the remaining section of hair. You may leave the bottom pony down, or fold the hair under at the base of your neck, and secure with bobby pins. Finish with the Anti-Humidity Hair Spray to prevent frizz.

Triple Buns
Step 1: Apply the Garnier Curl Sculpting Cream Gel to damp hair. Diffuse until hair is dry.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of the Curl Construct Mousse to add hold and reduce frizz.
Step 3: Divide hair into 3 sections and secure each with an elastic at the base of your neck.
Step 4: Twist each section of hair around the elastic and secure the ends with bobby pins. Pull each bun loose for a more messy appearance.

Curl Crown
Step 1: Apply the Garnier Curl Sculpting Cream Gel to damp hair. Diffuse until hair is dry.
Step 2: Section off the front portion of your hair starting at your ears.
Step 3: Begin a braid from one side of your head, adding sections of hair as you go across your head to create a headband.
Step 4: Secure the braid near the opposite ear with a bobby pin, and then cross a section of hair over the end of the braid to hide it.
Step 5: Finish off with the Curl Construct Mousse for additional hold if needed.

Side-Swept Braid
Step 1: Create a deep side part. Apply the Garnier Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk to damp hair. Follow up with the Curl Sculpting Cream Gel and diffuse until dry.
Step 2: Sweep hair to the opposite side of your part. Section off a portion of hair on the other side.
Step 3: Begin a french braid by slowly adding sections of hair as you go back towards your neck.
Step 4: Secure the braid under the rest of your hair at the base of your neck.

Wrapped Headband
Step 1: Apply the Curl Construct Mousse to damp hair, focusing on the roots of the crown area for volume. Use a diffuser to lift the crown area to create volume while drying.
Step 2: Place a headband on top of your hair. Take pieces from around your face and wrap them around the headband.
Step 3: Repeat the process until all of the headband is covered but the top.
Step 4: Finish off with the Anti-Humidity Hair Spray.

Relaxed Ringlets
Step 1: Apply the Garnier Curl Sculpting Cream Gel to damp hair. Then apply the Curl Stretch Loosening Pudding by pulling through strands. Diffuse hair until completely dry.
Step 2: Apply the Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist to the ends of your hair. Using a ½ inch curling wand, hold the iron over your head and point it downward. Wrap small sections of hair around the barrel.
Step 3: Repeat the process by alternating small and large sections, and alternating directions you wrap the hair to create more texture.
Step 4: Finish off with the Anti-Humidity Hairspray to hold curls in place and prevent frizz.

I had so much fun creating these Weekly Change Ups for you all! Tell me which one was your favorite in the comments below!
