Once a week, I try to do a deep conditioning treatment on my hair. Curly hair can be especially dry, and I've been dealing with a lot of frizz, split ends, and tangles. There's several treatments I like to do when my hair needs some extra love such as masks, tea rinses, scalp massages. And today I'm combining them all into the ultimate deep conditioning routine for softer, shiny hair. I'm also sharing how I style and diffuse my naturally curly hair.

VIDEO: Acne Coverage "No Makeup" Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone! It has been over a month since I've been able to upload, and it feels like an eternity. I think this is the longest I have ever taken a break for...but for good reasons: we finally moved into our new house! If you haven't kept up with me on social media, for the past year Nathan and I have been building our first home. Follow me over on Instagram to see some of the house!

We finally are getting settled in, mostly unpacked, and I've been decorating a ton. I haven't quite gotten my office all the way unpacked, which is where I'll be filming. Luckily I had one video stashed from before we moved so I thought I would post it.

This is a super simple makeup look, very minimal, and focuses on covering acne marks while looks as natural as possible. This "no makeup" makeup tutorial will enhance your natural features, without looking overdone.

-How to Plop Hair using the Ultimate Hair Towel

VIDEO: How to Plop Your Hair + Hair RePear Towel Giveaway

Sunday, April 22, 2018

Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing one of the most important items in my hair routine- The Ultimate Hair Towel. Whether you have straight, wavy, or curly hair, drying your hair traditional bath towels can cause breakage, split ends, and a ton of frizz. You may have seen how I used to always recommend using a cotton T-shirt to wrap your hair after washing it, but it can be difficult to actually "plop" your hair using an awkward shaped, or small sized, T-shirt.

"Plopping" is a term likely coined by the curly community, and is a method of gathering your hair and setting it on top of your head. It not only helps encourage curls to shrink up, but can create volume at the root.

The wrap method is great for straight hair and easy to do, but for curls it can stretch them out. Plopping is ideal when you have already applied your styling products, and want to let your hair dry a bit before diffusing. I typically wear mine for 20-30 minutes while I get ready before diffusing with a blow dryer.

The Ultimate Hair Towel can also be used to scrunch your hair, and is extremely absorbent and great for soaking up excess product and water.

-PIXI Spring Makeup Tutorial - One Brand

Happy spring! Today I'm sharing an easy makeup tutorial that is perfect for the season with hints of peach, yellow, and gold. PIXI is definitely one of those awesome underrated drugstore brands. I'm using all PIXI makeup, and featuring the new palette made in collaboration with YouTuber, Chloe Morello. It's called the Palette Chloette, and contains everything from blush, eyeshadow, and brow powders. I was able to use just the palette for the entire look, except for the lip products of course.  I also used some of the other products from PIXI's collaboration with Weylie Hoang.

-NEW Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss Review & Try-On Swatches

VIDEO: Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss Review & Swatches

Thursday, April 05, 2018

Today I'm testing out all 20 shades of the new Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss. These high-shine glosses contain Vitamin E, peppermint oil, and a vanilla-mint flavor making them comfortable to wear. They also have a slight lip plumping effect as well.

They come in cream finishes, sheer cream, holographic, and metallic. Even the shades that contain glitter are comfortable to wear and not chunky in texture. Some shades are classic of theirs, like Naked, Fuel, Backtalk, and 1993, while others are new editions. There's a wide range of wearable and bold shades.

I really liked how most of the shades were somewhat sheer, so they were more natural looking and easy to apply. They are fairly long-wearing, but do come off when eating or drinking. I'd say without eating/drinking, they last about 3-4 hours.
